Affiliates Must Pre-Sell Not Sell

Affiliates Must Pre-Sell Not Sell

Pre-Sell–Not Sell! Make this Mistake And It Will Cost You.

Creating an affiliate Website that is one big sales letter is not going to lead to huge sales. Why?  Because visitors will resist your sales pitch no matter how enticing your Web site, and they will not likely click through to the merchant’s site. Even if they do click through, they will be faced with another sales pitch, possibly with some of the same wording.  By selling instead of pre-selling you are actually hurting your chance to make a profit.

The Internet is bursting with Web sites created by affiliates to steer visitors to merchants’ sites. This is the simple elegance of affiliate marketing–create a Web site, sign up as an affiliate with companies that sell products you like, then sit back and watch the money pour in. At least that’s the theory. But many affiliates make the one mistake that most hurts their business. They fail to pre-sell their customers.

If you are creating a Web site that is one big sales letter it’s going to hurt your business and more than likely it’s not going to lead to huge sales. Why?  Here’s the reason.

First off no one likes to be pitched, think about how you decide when to buy a product or service? what is it that helps you to make the decision to purchase? Bet it’s not some guy pitching you on the product? visitors will resist your sales pitch no matter how enticing your Web site, and they will not likely even bother to click through to the merchant’s site. Even if they do click through, they will be faced with yet another sales pitch, possibly with some of the same wording.  By selling you are actually hurting your chance to make a profit.

If this doesn’t make sense, keep in mind why people in the millions everyday go on the Internet. Think about why you go on the internet? Like you, people are searching for interesting content. They want to learn something, or they are looking for a solution to their problem, or they have some other need.

People don’t go online to be confronted by a sales pitch. That’s why your affiliate site If it’s going to be successful must create a sense of credibility by offering lots of interesting and informative content–articles, headlines, news, blogs, forums, free newsletters and email courses, and links to more content that might be of interest. These things will keep your visitors interested and they will then click through with pleasure to the merchant’s site in a mood ready-to-buy.

This is the beauty of the pre-sell. It’s this pre-selling that puts your visitor in a positive  frame of mind, which leads to a sale. If you turn your visitor off in the beginning with an obvious sales pitch, it’s almost impossible to overcome that, and you’ve lost a potential customer.

There are two important things to remember to effectively pre-sell your visitors:

Carefully craft your site to the theme of your merchants’ products or services.

If for example you are signed up as affiliate with several dating sites, then your site should obviously be devoted to dating and getting people together, along with anything associated with relationships–flowers, candy, special holidays, jewelry, cards, or gifts. You name it. Be creative. Obviously a pitch for the greatest money-making opportunity won’t fit.

Put yourself in your visitor’s shoes.

Analyze your site with brutal honesty and try to understand how a stranger would feel navigating through. Is the site complicated and hard to figure out? Do all the links work? Does it have a central, specific theme? Does the site deliver valuable, appropriate content? Do you get a trusting feeling? Will it make the visitor more open to buy? If so, then you can safely recommend merchants to your visitor. People will usually only buy from someone they trust. And that should be you.

Pre-selling works because it’s a two step process. The first step is up to you by providing a content-rich, interesting site where visitors will feel comfortable. As you gain their trust, they will pass on to step two by clicking through to the merchant’s site. By now they are interested enough to buy, so they will not be turned off by the sales copy.

Let the merchant do the selling. Your role is to educate and help your visitors by providing answers to their questions or solutions for their problems through quality content.

3 Membership costs:

1)You can join for with the  free membership.

2) you can join the premium membership $19.00/for the 1st month

To continue with a premium membership after the first month it will cost you $47.00/month

5) A yearly subscription works out to be much better value

4 Customer Satisfaction:

The online WA community numbers in the thousands and their appears to be a level of satisfaction which points to the company

providing good quality well structured training programs with very little complaints being made by the members.

5 Level of Support

There appears to be a lot of support in place for members. This appears to be one of the draw cards
The founders go to great lengths to offer their support. Members also are very pro-active helping each other.

There is also a 24 hr support hot line available;

6) Can You make Money

There is a level of feedback from the members providing details of income being earned at WA

they range from a few hundred dollars a week to thousands.

There’s no hiding the fact that those who are earning good money have also put in plenty of hard work to get where they are.

No one is claiming it to be an easy road and the founders make no bones about this fact: They will tell you the cold hard facts:

You are going to have to work consistently towards your chosen goals and stay focused if you want to achieve a level of income that most will never experience.

Yes you can make Money but expect to work for it…It won’t happen overnight but it will happen! So stay committed!

7) Is Wealthy Affiliate a Scam?

1) uP-SELLS..#1 Scam Alert:

Many of you including myself have been scammed here with this one. Hate to say it but for myself quite a few occasions.

Unfortunately sometimes we have to learn the hard way.  Anyways If your one of the lucky few who hasn’t been scammed here’s an extra safe guard..

  How the scammers operate:

If and When you first make a purchase which is usually fairly cheap you are then taken immediately to another page which attempts to upsell you on another product/service which is promoted to further enhance your chances of making really BIG dollars! Once again this maybe only a few dollars more and you may think well its not too expensive and you go purchase the upsell ( now your in the buying mindset) and then they will possibly up sell you again…Before you know it, what you thought was going to be a few dollars out of pocket becomes hundreds!…and it doesn’t stop there!..So be mindful of these scammers there are thousands of them out there. Anyways sorry getting off track there.

Well there was no scam alert for wealthy affiliate that we could see and regarding upsells on the Wealthy Affiliate site. There was nothing that suggested a Red Flag..

The only sales available were two price points:

There’s the free membership

and Premium membership.

Next we looked at….

2) The Big Guarantee...#2 scam Alert;

This is another Red Flag to look out for. But not always necessarily a red Flag!..This one requires a bit of your own intuition. I Have been involved with other on line businesses and they have been legit businesses who offer 30 day money back guarantees.. the ones to look out for are the BIG GUARANTEES offering 60 Day Guarantees and they’re usually on some kind of “sales page”. linking back to a product sold on ebay, clickbank and other large affiliate sites.

Ok so looking at Wealthy affiliate we were satisfied there were no phoney sales page attempting to re direct us somewhere else.

The site itself looked totally transparent. One thing that did catch our attention was the offer of “Try before you buy” and we checked it out for legitimacy. Safe to say this was a big positive guarantee we found on the wealthy affiliate site.

It points to a company whom are confident in what they have to offer.

“Try before you Buy” ..We liked this!

But keep in mind the free membership isn’t going to give you the full benefits like what’s available to premium members.

It’s certainly still a great free program for anyone interested in  finding out if it’s something they may like to continue with.

3)The Big Red Ferrari. #3 Scam Alert;

Youtube is a great place to find these business scams. Usually starts off with some dude driving up to his mansion in his flashy new Ferrari..situated right on the beach, jumps out of the car walks into his house straight to his office opens his laptop and proceeds to show you just how you can also be living this lifestyle in a few short months from now if you buy into this business. and heck you too will be driving around in your brand new Ferrari with your trophy girlfriend hair blowing in the breeze…aint saying it’s not possible but it takes a bit of work to get to this point.

So what did we find with the Wealthy affiliate site…Well no one was promoting any Ferraris or big mansions…No one was claiming to be rich overnight.

There was plenty of evidence to suggest that members were very happy with being members of WA.

Many were making good incomes..and they all appeared to be in agreement that it was due to the fact they followed the programs step by step has set out.

4)This offer won’t last! (until next time!lol) # 4 Scam Alert:

I know this doesn’t necessarily point to a Scammy business but sometimes you just get a little fed up with this one. Pushing your emotional buttons to buy before they run out!..This will never be repeated again…Get in now Don’t miss out..You know the crap they carry on with! Ok so we looked at Wealthy affiliate to see what their marketing tactics if any were all about.

Well we didn’t find much of this going on…There is the “Try before you buy” which we alluded to previously

It appears they haven’t changed their prices in the last 12 years so they must be doing something right.

5)This offer will not be repeated again #5 Scam Alert:

How often have you seen this one! Hey look I know there are some businesses whom do this and stick by what they say But I have seen many others who use this tactic to get you to believe you will never get a second chance on this so called offer. I get it’s all about marketing but if you are going to use this scarcity tactic then stick by what you say you are going to do. It makes the business look so phoney when they say one thing and do the opposite.

We looked at the marketing on the WA site and there wasn’t any phoney advertising going on. There was no sense of urgency to buy. You were more encouraged to go check out what was on offer at wealthy affiliate.

  1. Paid membership In Wealthy Affiliate
Below you will find out what is actually in the paid membership inside of Wealthy Affiliate and what you can expect.
    Live Help & Support
Hosting for unlimited websites with 24/7 support
    Live video training

    Website security package
    Premium video training
    Premium Courses
    Premium Bonus Offers
    Continued affiliate boot camp training
    1-on-1 coaching
    Private Messaging
The premium membership is $19 your first month and then $47 per month after that…

It would only be fair to say that the only up-sell we picked up on was The “Free” site then to $47 per month would be the up-sell
